Wkly Brief – Today I Remember

September 11, 2014

Today I will remember.

I will think of those that lost their lives when people chose violence over peace.

I will pray for strength for those who lost their loved ones;

Those, who today and everyday, live with this loss.

I will think of the men and women who have left their families behind to protect our country and to provide aid to those in need.

Freedom Tower

I will pray for peace throughout the world.

My God bless us, one and all.1

  1. We watched the live memorial through http://www.911memorial.org in my class. It was heartfelt and moving. My students, who weren’t even alive when the twin towers fell, were mesmerized. The memorial service made it real to them, by seeing the people speaking of their loved ones and their acts of valor.

      It feels like it was just yesterday, but as your comment made me realize, so many years have passed since that day. I have had a niece and two nephews born and to them it will be history. Thank you for your comment and for visiting my blog!
