When I’m 64

For the first time, I have come across a blog that I want to share with all of you. Hopefully you will understand why when you see my comments below, and you enjoy this video from 61 Musings as much as I did.

Many years ago, when I was 11 or so, I was an aspiring basement gymnast growing up in the suburbs of Rochester, NY. My friends and I would play “When I’m 64” by the Beatles repeatedly and work on our routines. Although my gymnastic career never came to fruition, I became a lifelong Beatles fan. Today as I tread nearer to the age of 64 than 11, I realize that perhaps my husband and I will be able to sing this song to each other at our 40th anniversary, “when I’m 64”.

Here’s a video of a couple with great future ahead of them.  What a way to propose!  If you’re a Beatles fan, you’ll understand it as the video plays.

(In case you missed it at the end, Sir Paul says, “And they’ve booked us for the wedding.”
